2018 Lady’s to Luke’s Bike Walk Run

St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church and School in Ankeny will once again host the annual Lady’s to Luke’s Bike Walk Run event on Sunday afternoon, May 20th at 1:00pm. The Bike Walk Run is a four mile journey where participants of all ages travel from Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Church to St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Ankeny. Through this event, we strive to build community between the two churches while fundraising for our new and growing Catholic Church and School at St. Luke’s. Following the event, there will be food, fun and fellowship at St. Luke.

St. Luke Vacation Bible School, June 4-8

Come join us for St. Luke Vacation Bible School this summer June 4 through June 8th 9am-12pm! You’ll join Daniel, who is torn from his home and forced into the king’s service, on a faith-filled adventure. You’ll explore exotic sights and smells in a Babylonian bazaar! Through this exciting VBS, you’ll find that you’re not much different from Daniel and his friends, who kept their faith in a faithless culture.

Religious Education Enrollment

Registration is now open for Religious Education classes at St. Luke’s. To enroll your students, click here: https://campscui.active.com/orgs/StLuketheEvangelist and complete the registration information. One of the questions you will see asks if you would be willing to be a catechist this year. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity – it takes many great volunteers to make our program a success, and we could definitely use your help at all grade levels, whether or not you have a student in RE. (As an added bonus, enrollment fees are waived for any children of our catechists). Contact Pete Haack at pete@slte.org if you have any questions, and look forward to a great year!

Tithe of the Tithe

St. Luke's is based on the foundation of Stewardship. Did you know that our parish donates 10% of your tithes to various charities? Do you wonder who receives these gifts and how much we give? We now have a page just to keep you informed of this information. This page is listed in the Miscellaneous menu above and there is also a button on the right-hand sidebar that you can use to access this page too.
