Supper Club

Do you like to visit with others?
Do you like to meet new and interesting people?
Do you like to eat?

If so, we are forming a new Adult group at St. Luke’s called the Supper Club this Fall.  Once a month we are going to get together at a local restaurant or parishioners homes for an evening of good conversation, good times and good food.

For more information, or questions; please contact Jack or Deb Troxel by emailing or by calling 964-4432.

Prime Timers

Vintage Hills Ministry

Would you enjoy meeting and serving people who cannot attend Mass?  We provide a Communion Service for the residents of Vintage Hills Assisted Living Center located on SW State Street in Ankeny.  The Service is held on Sunday mornings at 9:30am in the memory care unit.  There is time for the service and also for visiting with the residents.  If you'd like to help out, contact the parish office.

Polk City Care Center Ministry

Polk City Care Center volunteers have communion service every Sunday morning. Mass is held periodically. Contact the parish office for more information.

St. Luke's Mom’s Group

This group meets every-other Monday during the school year at 9:00am in the Narthex.  We gather to share our journey of motherhood and learn more about raising our family in the Church.  No homework is required and all pre-school age children are welcome.  The first meeting for the 2015-2016 school year is September 14.

Stephen Ministers

The role of Stephen Minister is to give care.  They listen, emphasize, encourage, pray, and provide emotional and spiritual support on a weekly basis to hurting people for as long as the need persists.  God works in and through them to bring hope and healing.  If you are feeling lonely, experiencing a crisis, struggling through a difficult time, or simply find yourself stressed by everyday life, talk to Sr. Susan in the OLIH parish office to learn more about Stephen Ministry.  Our Stephen Ministers are ready to care for you!

If you feel called to help with Stephen Ministry, please contact Deb Troxel to discuss how best to help with this ministry.

Have an idea for something not yet offered at St. Luke’s, please contact the Faith Formation Coordinator at
